The Children’s Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation (CNCF) www.nbhope.org was established in 2000 by the family and friends of Nick Tallungan. In April of 1999 at the age of 10, Nick lost his courageous battle with Neuroblastoma. One brave child motivated us to make a difference – for all families affected by this disease.
Today, CNCF is a foundation representing hundreds of global families. Our mission: to help fund a cure. Through the generous donations of the business community, families and friends, we create resources for families, educate the public and drive greater awareness – and funding – for Neuroblastoma. We provide a forum for patients and families to share their experiences. National educational programs bring together clinicians, researchers and medical experts to support our mission.

About Neuroblastoma
Neuroblastoma is a solid tumor cancer that arises in immature nerve cells outside the brain and strikes primarily infants and toddlers. It is the most common cancer affecting infants with an incidence rate of almost double that of leukemia. Its cause is unknown. Nearly 70 percent of children diagnosed with Neuroblastoma have advanced-stage disease. Less than 30 percent of children with advanced disease live five years.
Neuroblastoma has one of the lowest survival rates of all childhood cancers, but through continued research and increased funding, we can change those results.

Help us support the families, children and doctors working together to find new and better treatments for Neuroblastoma. Currently, less than one percent of the federal cancer research budget goes toward Neuroblastoma.
